Rain Bird - 1800 Spray Head Drip Riser Connection Kit

Note: A drip system needs to be operated on a separate zone than spray heads and rotors. When using the Riser Connection Kit to convert a zone to drip, either convert all spray heads or rotors on that zone to drip or cap off the spray heads and rotors that are not converted to drip.

Tip: Minimum operating pressure for a drip system is 15 psi, maximum is 25-30 psi. The Faucet Connection Kit and Riser Connection Kit each contain a 25-30 psi regulator to reduce higher pressures. These connection kits also incorporate a 150-200 mesh filter to protect the tubing emitters.

CAUTION: Not using the pressure regulator and filter may damage your system.

In most instances, owners of Rain Bird 1800 Series pop-up sprinklers (#1 installed sprinkler head by professional installers) will make the conversion without digging. To install kit simply unscrew head of existing 1800 spray and lift out internal mechanism, replace with kit head and internal assembly and tighten.

Kit will replace all pop-up sprinklers with a 1/2” threaded bottom inlet. Dig out old sprinkler and thread kit to existing 1/2” male fitting; flush system to remove any debris before adding tubing. Easy Fit 1/2” Tee compression tubing connector allows for quick, easy assembly to any 5/8”, 1/2”, or .700” Drip tubing.

Simply slide tubing into compression connectors for a secure leak-proof seal. Can be installed above or below grade; constructed of highly durable UV and chemical-resistant materials to assure long life.

Requires capping other heads on the zone; use Rain Bird 1800CAPS (sold separately) for quick secure termination.

Specifications: flow rate of 0.5 to 4 gallons per minute; inlet pressure 15 to 70 PSI.

Please note: If retrofit flow is less than 3 gallons per minute, replace electronic valve with Rain Bird Control Zone Valve Kit: CPZ075FAS, or CPZ075FIS (sold separately).
