Quick choosing guide

1. Pick venting: choose direct vent for sealed combustion and outdoor air; use vent free only where allowed by code and sized to the room.
2. Size the room load: match BTU to the space and climate; oversizing reduces comfort. Check altitude and derate tables if applicable.
3. Fuel & location: select natural gas or propane and confirm gas line size, regulator, and shutoff. Plan clearances to combustibles.
4. Power & controls: confirm electrical needs (plug in vs battery ignition) and pick thermostat or remote control as desired.
5. Complete the kit: add the correct vent kit/termination for wall thickness, a condensate safe path if required, pipe cover, and wall bracket or feet where offered.

Pro tips: Measure wall thickness before choosing a vent kit, keep clearances per the manual, and install CO detectors as required. Follow local code, pressure test gas connections, and register your heater for warranty.
