How to choose

1. Match the system: most landscape pieces are 12V low-voltage — pair with your existing transformer — while some architectural wall lights are line-voltage. Confirm before buying.
2. Pick the beam/spread: louvered or shielded for steps (no glare), wider spread for walls and seating areas.
3. Choose the finish: natural/brass for coastal and high-end installs, dark bronze/black for modern hardscape, and powder coat for durability.
4. Check location rating: use wet-location/wet-listed fixtures outdoors and where they’re exposed to weather.
5. Plan wiring: run direct-burial low-voltage cable, use gel-filled connectors, and leave extra lead for future service.
