• Shallow-well jet pumps: single-piece pumps for wells with water levels up to ~25 ft (suction lift). Easy to install and prime.
• Convertible/deep-well jet pumps: use a jet/ejector kit at the well to draw from deeper water (typically ~25–80 ft, model dependent).

Quick choosing guide

1. Measure depth to water: ≤ 25 ft use a shallow-well jet; 25–80 ft choose a convertible/deep-well jet with the correct ejector kit and nozzle/venturi.
2. Size flow & pressure: total your target GPM and desired pressure (PSI). Pick a pump curve that meets both at your suction lift and discharge head.
3. Match power: verify voltage (115/230V single-phase), amperage, and circuit. Many models are field-switchable.
4. Tank & controls: choose a pre-charged pressure tank sized to reduce cycling, plus a 30/50 or 40/60 PSI pressure switch (or a constant-pressure controller if preferred).
5. Pipe & valves: use a foot valve at the well, a check valve near the pump (as allowed), and airtight suction piping sized for low friction loss.
6. Priming & protection: install a priming tee/plug, add a pressure gauge, and consider a pump protector (low water/under-voltage) for safety.
