TracPipe

TracPipe CSST gas piping systems make natural gas and propane runs easier to route, connect, and service. Shop OmegaFlex TracPipe, CounterStrike, PS-II underground gas piping, AutoFlare fittings, termination fittings, manifolds, gas valves, regulators, bonding parts, and installation accessories for approved fuel gas piping projects.

Quick choosing guide

  1. Start with the fuel and load: confirm natural gas or propane, total BTU load, supply pressure, and longest run before selecting pipe size.
  2. Choose the pipe type: use TracPipe or CounterStrike for approved above-ground CSST runs; use PS-II where the installation calls for approved underground gas piping.
  3. Match fittings to the tubing: select AutoFlare fittings by CSST size and thread type, such as male NPT, female NPT, couplings, tees, or elbows.
  4. Plan terminations: use approved meter, appliance, wall box, or fireplace stub-out fittings to create secure, serviceable connection points.
  5. Protect the system: include striker plates, bonding components, supports, and protective conduit or wrap where required by the installation instructions.
  6. Verify code requirements: fuel gas work should follow the current TracPipe design guide, local fuel gas code, and any inspection requirements.

Quick choosing guide

  1. Size the line: total the appliance BTU load and use CSST sizing tables for your run length and allowed pressure drop.
  2. Pick the tubing & size: choose the CSST diameter and coil length that covers the route with minimal joints.
  3. Match the fittings: select AutoFlare adapters (MIP/FIP) for transitions to valves, regulators, and rigid pipe; add tees/elbows as the layout needs.
  4. Finish terminations: use approved termination fittings, strike plates, and supports anywhere CSST passes through framing or finishes.
  5. Vent & regulate: verify regulator type/setting, add vent protectors or limiters as required by the model and code.
  6. Code & bonding: install per local code and the TracPipe manual; bond/ground the system with the required clamp and conductor size.

Pro tips: Cut CSST square, deburr, and assemble AutoFlare fittings exactly as shown in the manual—no pipe dope on flare seats, thread sealant on NPT only. Protect tubing with strike plates through studs, anchor at appliances, and pressure-test before cover-up. Questions?
