Rain Bird Falcon 6504 Part-Circle Rotors — Plastic or Stainless Steel Riser

Brand: Rain Bird | SKUs: 6504PC, 6504PCSS

Product Overview

Fit a large turf boundary with the adjustable arc of a Falcon 6504 part-circle rotor. Choose 6504PC for the standard plastic riser or 6504PCSS for a stainless steel-covered riser where added resistance to vandalism is useful. Both listed choices use a standard black cover, a 4-inch pop-up and a SAM check device; the PC arc adjusts from 40° through reversing 360° operation.

Key Features

  • Adjustable 40–360° arc with reversing full-circle operation.
  • Plastic-riser or stainless steel-covered-riser choices.
  • SAM check device holds up to 10 feet of elevation head.
  • Top arc adjustment uses a flat-blade screwdriver.
  • Radius adjustment allows up to 25% reduction without changing nozzles.

Common Uses

  • Edges and corners of large turf areas where a fixed full circle would overspray a boundary.
  • Public turf sites where the PCSS riser option is specified for added vandal resistance.

Technical Specifications

  • 6504PC = manufacturer 6504-PC / F4PC: standard plastic riser and black cover.
  • 6504PCSS = manufacturer 6504-PC-SS / F4PCSS: stainless steel-covered riser and nozzle turret, standard black cover.
  • Arc: 40–360°; PC operation reverses direction at the arc limits.
  • Inlet: 1-inch female NPT bottom connection for these U.S. model selections.
  • Operating pressure: 30–90 psi.
  • Standard Falcon nozzle-chart radius: 39–65 feet, depending on nozzle and pressure.
  • Standard Falcon nozzle-chart flow: 2.9–21.7 GPM, depending on nozzle and pressure.
  • SAM check-device capacity: up to 10 feet (3.1 m) of elevation head.
  • Nozzle trajectory: 25°.
  • These UPC-identified F4PC/F4PCSS configurations are supplied less nozzle; choose the required Falcon nozzle separately.

Dimensions

  • Pop-up height: 4 inches, measured from the cover to the center of the primary nozzle port.
  • Retracted overall height: 8-1/2 inches.
  • Exposed surface diameter: 2 inches.

Compatibility & Installation Notes

Match the bottom NPT connection, flush the line and choose a nozzle using the standard Falcon chart. A stainless steel-covered riser does not by itself change the nozzle’s flow or radius rating.

Align the fixed left trip with the left edge of the intended coverage, then adjust the right trip. Do not force the arc adjustment beyond its limits.

Gallery images include Falcon family variations, including a purple-cover stainless steel example. The PCSS option on this page is the standard-cover stainless steel model, not a PC-SS-NP model. Nozzle display images do not establish included nozzle quantities.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do 6504PC and 6504PCSS differ?

6504PC has a plastic riser. 6504PCSS has a stainless steel-covered riser and nozzle turret. Both listed models have a standard black cover and adjustable 40–360° arc.

Can the PC rotor water a full circle?

Yes. It adjusts to 360° with reversing operation. A separate FC model rotates in one direction at a fixed full circle.

Does PCSS mean a purple cover is included?

No. SS identifies the stainless steel riser option. Rain Bird identifies non-potable purple-cover models separately with NP.

Are the watering nozzles included?

These F4PC/F4PCSS configurations are identified by Rain Bird as less-nozzle models. Select the nozzle separately for the required radius, pressure and flow.

Why Buy from Big Frog Supply?

Choose a PC model when the watering arc must follow a turf boundary rather than cover every direction continuously. Select the standard plastic riser or the stainless steel-covered PCSS option for the site’s durability needs, then size the nozzle for the supply; both retain the 4-inch pop-up and 10-foot SAM drainage-control capacity.
