The Hunter ROAM-KIT is a complete residential and light-commercial irrigation remote-control system for compatible Hunter controllers equipped with a SmartPort connection. It allows an installer, service technician, or property owner to start and stop individual stations or complete controller programs without walking back to the controller during troubleshooting, sprinkler adjustment, maintenance, or winterization.
The standard ROAM system provides an open-field line-of-sight range of up to approximately 1,000 feet. Actual range depends on terrain, buildings, metal surfaces, radio interference, SmartPort location, and receiver orientation. The handheld transmitter supports up to 240 stations, 128 selectable addresses, and ten preset remote run times ranging from 1 to 90 minutes. Remote operation does not overwrite the controller’s normal automatic schedule.
The kit includes the handheld transmitter, receiver, SmartPort wiring harness, and four AAA batteries. The receiver plugs into the SmartPort and draws approximately 24 VAC at 0.010 amp from the controller. The transmitter and receiver must use matching addresses before operation.
