Brand: K-Rain SKU: K4400
Product Overview
The K-Rain K4400 is a four-outlet 4000 Series indexing valve body supplied without a zone cam. It provides the valve platform for building a two-, three-, or four-zone water-operated distribution system when the installer wants to select the cam separately. Each time the upstream pump or control valve stops and restarts water flow, the internal stem-and-disc mechanism advances to the next outlet selected by the installed cam.
The 4000 Series is intended for residential and small-commercial irrigation and can also be used in approved onsite wastewater or effluent applications. Its simple hydraulic design does not require a separate electrical wire or solenoid for each downstream zone. The valve body uses ABS polymer construction with 1¼-inch slip inlet and outlet connections. K-Rain lists operation at flows as low as approximately 10 GPM and a pressure range of 25 to 75 PSI.
No cam is included with K4400. Select P6107042 for two-zone operation, P6107043 for three-zone operation, or P6107044 for four-zone operation. Reliable indexing also requires adequate flow, a complete reduction of flow between cycles, correct valve orientation, and a clean internal mechanism. Verify local requirements before using an indexing valve with wastewater, effluent, or reclaimed-water systems.

Common Uses
- Building a customized two- to four-zone indexing system
- Replacing a damaged four-outlet 4000 Series valve body
- Pump-fed or city-water irrigation systems
- Approved effluent or onsite wastewater distribution systems
Compatibility and Installation Notes
A compatible cam must be purchased separately. Install the valve vertically with the inlet and outlets arranged according to the current K-Rain instructions. Provide sufficient flow and pressure, allow the system to depressurize between cycles, and protect the valve from freezing. Use compatible PVC primer and solvent cement and follow the required cure time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does K4400 include a cam?
No. Choose the separate two-, three-, or four-zone cam for the required sequence.
Can it operate six zones?
No. K4400 has four physical outlets. Six-outlet 4000 Series models are required for five- or six-zone configurations.
Does each zone need a separate solenoid?
No. The valve advances hydraulically as the upstream water source cycles off and on.
Why Buy the K-Rain K4400 from Big Frog Supply?
K4400 is the flexible no-cam option for customers who need to choose the exact two-, three-, or four-zone sequence rather than purchasing a preconfigured valve. Big Frog Supply carries all three compatible cams plus the screws, O-rings, valve top, and stem-and-disc assemblies used to build and maintain the system.
