Brand: K-Rain SKU: 4403
Product Overview
The K-Rain 4403 is a four-outlet 4000 Series indexing valve preconfigured for three-zone operation. Its installed cam advances water through three selected outlets as the upstream pump or control valve cycles off and back on, leaving the fourth physical outlet outside the operating sequence.
The valve provides a simple way to automate multiple irrigation laterals without wiring a separate electric valve at every zone. The ABS polymer body has a 1¼-inch slip inlet and four 1¼-inch slip outlets. K-Rain lists a minimum operating flow of approximately 10 GPM and a pressure range of 25 to 75 PSI. The platform is used in residential and small-commercial irrigation and may also serve approved pump, city-water, onsite wastewater, or effluent systems.
For dependable advancement, the valve must be installed vertically and receive adequate flow. Water must stop completely between zone changes so the internal spring and disc can rise and rotate. Unequal downstream restrictions, a partially closed supply, trapped debris, or insufficient off time can prevent proper indexing. The cam can be changed later to two- or four-zone operation if the piping layout and outlet connections are revised accordingly.

Compatibility and Installation Notes
Identify the three active outlets before piping the laterals. Install the valve upright, use the proper solvent-weld procedure, and allow the system to depressurize fully between cycles. Confirm that each zone's demand remains compatible with the available water source and the valve's flow and pressure requirements.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens to the fourth outlet?
The three-zone cam leaves one physical outlet outside the operating sequence.
Can the valve be converted to four zones?
Yes. Install the compatible four-zone cam and reconnect the outlet piping as required.
Is a separate control wire needed for every zone?
No. The downstream zones are selected hydraulically by cycling the upstream water supply.
