The K-Rain 13003-CV is the factory check-valve version of the 4-inch MiniPro gear-driven rotor. It is designed for smaller lawn and landscape zones that need compact rotor coverage from a 1/2-inch connection while also requiring protection against low-head drainage. The installed check valve helps keep water in the lateral line after the control valve closes, reducing puddling and runoff from lower-elevation heads when the site's elevation and pressure fall within the supported application.
The MiniPro adjusts from 40° to 360° and can be set wet or dry from the top of the rotor. Current K-Rain information lists an approximate radius of 18 to 33 feet, a flow range of approximately 0.8 to 3.3 GPM, and an operating-pressure range of 20 to 70 PSI. Five numerically coded interchangeable nozzles support different flow and radius requirements. A stainless-steel radius-adjustment screw and 25° nozzle trajectory provide additional field control.
The 13003-CV uses a 1/2-inch female NPT inlet and a 4-inch riser. It can replace many compatible mini rotors and some spray-body applications, but only when the zone hydraulics and head spacing support rotor operation. The check valve does not correct a leaking control valve, broken line, or excessive elevation difference.
