Compatibility & Installation Notes
Allow space for the 16-inch body and 12-inch pop-up stroke. Install at the appropriate finished grade and connect through the 1/2-inch female NPT bottom inlet.
Check pressure with the zone operating. The supply must support the 30 psi target and combined nozzle demand; a regulator cannot boost low supply pressure.
Select a compatible Rain Bird spray-head nozzle and its required filter screen. Flush before nozzling, align the stem with the ratchet and follow the nozzle’s own pattern and radius instructions.
The SAM check valve limits drainage after shutdown; it does not close a leaking upstream control valve.
