Brand: K-Rain SKU: 10003-CV
Product Overview
The K-Rain 10003-CV is the factory check-valve version of the SuperPro professional gear-driven rotor. It combines Intelligent Flow Technology with an installed check valve for landscapes where lower heads may drain after the irrigation zone shuts off. The check valve helps hold water in the lateral line, reducing puddling, erosion, and wasted water at low elevations when the site conditions fall within the valve's supported range.
Intelligent Flow control allows the installer to reduce radius and flow simultaneously and proportionately and provides full shutoff at the rotor head. Water can be stopped while the riser remains extended, allowing a nozzle to be changed or an adjustment made without repeatedly opening and closing the zone. The arc adjusts from 40° to continuous 360°, and the arc-memory clutch helps protect the internal gear drive if the turret is forced.
Current K-Rain data lists a nominal radius of approximately 26 to 46 feet, an overall flow range of approximately 0.8 to 11.1 GPM when flow adjustment is considered, and an operating-pressure range of 20 to 70 PSI. Standard and low-angle nozzles are supported, and this listing's legacy description identifies a #2.5 nozzle as installed. The 3/4-inch female NPT inlet fits common rotor swing-joint and riser connections.

Common Uses
- Sloped residential and commercial turf
- Zones affected by low-head drainage
- Sites needing proportional radius and flow control
- Replacing a compatible SuperPro check-valve rotor
Compatibility and Installation Notes
A check valve helps control drainage but does not correct an improperly designed elevation difference, leaking valve, excessive pressure, or damaged piping. Verify the zone hydraulics, nozzle selection, dynamic pressure, and check-valve holding requirement. Install level, flush the line, and use matched precipitation across the zone.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between 10003 and 10003-CV?
The 10003-CV has a factory-installed check valve; the base 10003 does not.
Can water be shut off at the rotor?
Yes. The Intelligent Flow control provides head-level shutoff.
Does the check valve prevent every type of leak?
No. It is intended for low-head drainage and does not repair a leaking control valve or broken irrigation line.
Why Buy the K-Rain 10003-CV from Big Frog Supply?
This SKU combines the SuperPro's proportional flow control with the installed check valve needed on many sloped sites, avoiding a separate retrofit step. Big Frog Supply also carries the standard and reclaimed-water SuperPro models, nozzles, and service components for maintaining the same rotor family.
