The Quasar 1 leads the family of down lights by offering a practical solution to most down light applications. Featuring a lock and load shroud to minimize glare and a revolutionary ball and joint swivel mount allowing 360° rotation capability. The newly designed dome mount makes installation fast and easy by attaching the Sphere Base to the light before being mounted and then threaded in place.
The Quasar 1 is equipped with a FLEX GOLD Series MR16 LED lamp, five designer lenses, 25’ of #16/2 low voltage wire and a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Body:
Precision machined from solid brass casting. Body design provides enclosed, water resistant wireway to protect wires.
Gasket:
High temperature silicone o-ring for water-tight seal.
Knuckle:
Machined brass, exclusive ball and joint. The 360° Orbital Mount™ allows for perfect directional fine tuning.
Shroud:
Precision machined from brass. Accepts up to one additional lens/hex cell accessory.
Lens:
Comes with a complete set of optical designer lenses including; spread lens, frosted, hex cell and blue lens for moonlighting effect.
Lamp:
For use with FLEX GOLD Series MR16 LED lamps, available in 3W, 4W, 5W, 6W and 8W. LED lamps are available in 2700K, 3000K and 5000K(4W and 6W only) color temperatures. Also compatible with a halogen MR16 lamp up to 35 Watts. Max LED wattage of 8W.
Electrical Requirements:
A remote 12V transformer required, may be ordered separately from Unique Lighting Systems®. Voltage range for 12V halogen lamps is 10.8V to 12V. Voltage range for 24V halogen lamps is 21.6V to 24V. Voltage range for FLEX GOLD Series MR16 LED lamps is 10V-15V.
Lamp Connection:
Specification grade, beryllium copper lamp holder. GU5.3 base.
Wiring:
Exclusive UF Intelli-Flex wire with anti-moisture migration connections.
Hardware:
Cast brass sphere base included.
