Home Flex

HOME-FLEX Underground makes buried gas runs fast and code-friendly. Build complete NG/LP lines with stab-by-hand poly (MDPE) fittings, PE-to-steel transition parts, and anodeless bent meter risers—then add tracer wire, warning tape, and tools to finish the trench right.

Shop by need

  • Stab fittings (poly-to-poly): couplings, tees, 90° elbows, end caps for IPS MDPE (common 1/2, 3/4, 1, 1-1/4, 2 in)
  • Transitions: PE x MIP/FIP adapters to connect to steel pipe, regulators, or valves above grade
  • Anodeless meter risers – bent: preassembled PE-to-steel risers in assorted lengths and sizes for clean meter set connections
  • Tools & install parts: chamfer/ream tools, depth gauges, tracer wire, warning tape, clamps and brackets

Quick choosing guide

  1. Size the line: determine IPS size from total BTU load, run length, and allowable pressure drop.
  2. Pick the riser: choose bent anodeless meter risers sized to your PE pipe and outlet thread; match length to meter height and wall clearance.
  3. Select transitions: use PE x MIP/FIP where you move from PE underground to threaded steel above grade—keep threaded joints out of the trench.
  4. Choose stab fittings: for underground splices and branches, use HOME-FLEX stab couplings/tees/elbows matched to your IPS size.
  5. Plan installation: add tracer wire and warning tape, bed pipe in clean fill, and pressure-test with air/inert gas per code before turn-on.

Pro tips: Cut PE square, chamfer the leading edge, mark insertion depth, and push stab fittings fully home—then tug-test. Keep all threaded steel connections above grade (use anodeless risers), install tracer wire the full length, and place warning tape 12–18 in below grade. Follow local burial depth and bonding requirements and pressure-test before backfill. Not sure which riser or transition fits?
