Quick choosing guide

  1. Plan the layout: use a hub or T-splits and size cable (12/14 AWG) to keep farthest fixtures near 11–12V.
  2. Seal every splice: choose gel-filled/direct-burial connectors for reliability in wet soil.
  3. Mount for the surface: stakes for soil, risers for tall plantings, tree straps with stand-offs for trunks, and hardscape plates under caps.
  4. Control the beam: add louvers/visors or frosted lenses near paths and windows to cut glare.
  5. Automate: pair a photocell with an astronomic timer or smart module for set-and-forget schedules.

 

Pro tips: Test voltage at the farthest fixture, leave service loops for future tweaks, and label runs in the transformer for easy maintenance.
