Rotors

Sprinkler rotors (gear-drive heads) deliver even coverage on medium to large turf areas with adjustable arcs and replaceable nozzles. Choose compact 1/2 in inlet rotors for 15–50 ft ranges or heavy-duty 3/4 in inlet models for sports-size lawns and long throws.

Shop by need

  • Inlet size: 1/2 in rotors for most residential zones; 3/4 in for high-flow, long-radius runs
  • Arc control: adjustable 40–360° or full-circle models
  • Radius & nozzles: standard, low-angle, and high-efficiency nozzle trees to match precipitation
  • Pop-up heights: 4 in for typical turf; 6–12 in to clear tall grass or groundcover
  • Performance features: built-in check valves to stop low-head drainage, stainless risers, optional pressure regulation (model dependent)
  • Accessories: swing joints, filters, caps, and tools for quick service

Quick choosing guide

  1. Pick the size: use 1/2 in inlet rotors up to ~50 ft; step to 3/4 in for longer radius or higher flow.
  2. Match pressure: rotors like about 45–55 PSI at the head. Add regulation if zone pressure is high.
  3. Set arc & radius: adjust 40–360° and choose a nozzle that reaches head-to-head with neighbors.
  4. Balance precipitation: use the nozzle chart so part-circle and full-circle heads apply water evenly.
  5. Control drainage: choose models with check valves on slopes or where laterals drain down.
  6. Choose height: 6–12 in pop-ups help clear taller turf and reduce blocking.

Pro tips: Flush lines before install, set bodies level and flush with grade, and use swing joints to protect heads. Space head-to-head for even coverage, aim for ~45–55 PSI at the rotor, and use check-valve models on slopes to prevent puddles. Winterize in freezing climates. Not sure which rotor fits? Tell us inlet size, target radius, and pressure—we’ll recommend a set with the right nozzles.
