Installation & Use Notes

• Install on the cold water inlet to your water heater for maximum protection.
• Not designed to treat microbiologically unsafe water—ensure disinfection where needed.
• Do not use with salt water or softened water (e.g. sodium or potassium chloride systems), as that can reduce performance.
• For well water, testing is required to confirm whether the Heater Guard is sufficient, or if additional treatment is necessary.
• Replace the internal filter element (BB-Guard-Filter-3/4) annually or earlier if heavy sediment is present.
