Quick choosing guide

  1. Match base and voltage: confirm GU5.3 vs GU4, G4 vs GY6.35, and 12V requirements before you buy.
  2. Pick the beam: narrow spot to highlight trees or signs, about 36 deg for general accents, 60 deg+ to wash walls.
  3. Set brightness and color: LED 4–5W is similar to old 35W halogen; 6–8W to replace 50W. Choose 2700–3000K for warm outdoor tone.
  4. Plan control: choose dimmable lamps and the right controller if you want scenes, schedules, or color.

Pro tips: Keep color temperature consistent within each zone, aim after dark for perfect highlights, and target about 11–12V at the farthest 12V fixture. Use gel filled connectors, replace worn gaskets in sealed housings, and label runs inside the transformer for easy service.
