Quick choosing guide

1. Confirm gas and pressure: identify NG or LP and the inlet pressure (ounces, in. W.C., or psi) at the regulator.
2. Select function: appliance regulator at the equipment vs line regulator upstream; add overpressure protection if required.
3. Size by load: use the product capacity tables to match BTU/h at your inlet/outlet pressures and expected pressure drop.
4. Plan the venting: pipe regulator vents outdoors unless the model is specifically listed with a vent limiter and local code allows it. For outdoor vents, add a vent protector and point it down.
5. Orientation & flow: follow the arrow on the body; install in the approved position from the datasheet.
6. Set & verify: use a manometer to adjust outlet pressure per the appliance rating plate, then leak-test all joints with approved solution.

Pro tips: Install a sediment trap ahead of appliances, keep regulator vents clear and above snow/standing water, and never cap a vent. Use vent limiters only on models listed for them and where code permits. Label NG or LP, verify clocking or manifold pressure after start-up, and retain the setup readings with the job record.
